Fergie's body was found dead on a pavement in a residential area. She had gunshot wounds to the head and rib cage.

The body of a Honduran transsexual [woman] was found this Monday in the streets of a residential area in San Pedro Sula in northern Honduras. This new violent death is the sixth recorded within this population group in less than 45 days.

The body with several bullet wounds was found in the streets of the Rancho El Coco residential area. The still unidentified victim was wearing pink sandals and shorts.

On Thursday, January 13, in Tegucigalpa, a group of members of the community defending the rights of Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals and Transsexuals, LGBT, in Honduras protested in front of the Public Ministry facilities demanding punishment against those responsible for the deaths. of at least 31 [trans people] since June 28, 2009.

Specifically, in the last 45 days in Tegucigalpa, five violent deaths have been recorded, including that of a [gay person] who was tortured and then burned alive.

The murder of this new transsexual [woman] in San Pedro Sula is the first case recorded this year, the last was on August 31, 2010 when unknown individuals on a motorcycle killed Germán Gamaniel Serrano Hernández, 30, known as “Gama” in the area known as 'El Tamarindo'.
