The victim was stabbed to death in the back with a knife in front of a bar. According to the police various persons had been in the bar drinking and after the victim stole 10 reais from a man there was a short discussion. After several hours, the victim left towards home and José Ronaldo de Almeida, 32, who had been waiting in a thicket reportedly committed the crime. The perpetrator fled the scene.
