Jacqueline's body was found in her flat in Heron Court, Victoria Road, Worthing on 19th November. The night before she had been assaulted by a 63 year old man.
Two men aged 34 and 63, both from Worthing, were arrested on suspicion of murder and released on bail.
Ultimately the police determined that Jacqueline's death was not in fact a murder. The 63 year old was held on suspicion of assault.
The death of a woman at her flat in West Sussex is no longer being treated as suspicious, police have said.
Jacqueline Cowdrey, 50, was found dead in Heron Court, Victoria Road, Worthing on 19 November.

A 63-year-old man has been charged with assaulting Ms Cowdrey, who was known as Jacqui, on 18 November.
He has been released on bail to appear at Worthing Magistrates' Court on 25 February.
The 34-year-old has been told he is no longer part of the investigation, Sussex Police said.
The force said Ms Cowdrey had argued with a man in Bedford Row on the evening before her body was found.
Det Insp Gordon Denslow said: "We would still like to speak to people who were in the area around Warwick Street on 18 November who saw Jacqueline arguing with a man.
"Although we are no longer treating her death as suspicious, we are still investigating the assault on her the night before, during which she was injured."
