Verônica Bismarck

Verônica was stabbed during an argument with another trans woman. Mykaelly Martinez was arrested shortly after the crime.

The [trans woman] [deadname] dos Santos Pinheiro, 20 years old, better known as Verônica Bismarck, was murdered with a knife-blade in the early hours of this Thursday (January 1st), at a gas station located alongside the BR-163 highway in Coxim.

The perpetrator, an 18-year-old [trans woman] identified as [deadname] da Costa Martinez, better known as Mykaelly Martinez, was arrested by Rondas Ostensivas e Táticas do Interior (Rotai) minutes after the crime.

According to the website Edição de Notícias, Verônica was hit in the jugular during an alleged dispute over debt. She died minutes later, in the courtyard of the place where she was trying to ask for help, accompanied by her [trans] friend Bárbara Bismarck. The Fire Department was called, but the victim was found already lying dead.
