Murdered
Like most victims in the Philippines, her murder was reported via Facebook and details are sketchy, showing only a photo of her in life, and one of her corpse lying in a pool of blood on a floor. Any clarifications would be welcome.
The hashtags #RIPAhya and #JusticeForAhya trended on Facebook in the Philippines in the days following her murder.
