Hérica died in hospital two months after being beaten and thrown from a viaduct.
Investigations into at least two crimes have advanced in recent months. The [trans woman] Hérica Isidoro was beaten almost on the same day as Dandara dos Santos, February 11, 2017, in the Otávio Bonfim neighborhood. After being rescued and taken to the hospital, she fought for her life until April 12 of this year but couldn't resist her injuries. The attack against Hérica began to be investigated by the 3rd DP (Otávio Bonfim), who was unable to solve the case. After her death, the investigation of the crime was transferred to the Homicide and Personal Protection Division (DHPP).
In two months, the [DHPP] was able to clarify that Hérica was raped and thrown from a catwalk on Avenida José Bastos by just one man. The completed inquiry was sent to the 1st Jury of Fortaleza, to be analyzed by the Public Ministry of Ceará (MPCE). The participation of accomplices is also considered in the investigation.
Despite the identification, the main suspect has not yet been found by the Police. The man – who cannot be named due to the secrecy of the case – allegedly disagreed with the victim about the price she charged for a program.
