Cosmetic filler poisoning

Robertha was a hairdresser. She died from cardiorespiratory arrest as a result of cosmetic procedure which involved injecting industrial silicone.
A [trans woman] from Piauí died of a generalized infection after spending 15 days in the Hospital das Clínicas, in Ribeirão Preto. Roberta, as she was known, was 26 years old and would have injected industrial silicone in a non-specialized clinic.
According to information from the police report, recorded as suspicious death, [deadname] de Souza Vieira - her name in the civil registry - was admitted to HC on May 26 with a history of industrial silicone implants in her buttocks.
On day 2, the patient entered the Emergency Unit of the Hospital das Clínicas, where she underwent a procedure to remove dead tissue from the buttocks region.
After surgery, the infection worsened, requiring the application of high doses of vasopressors, a drug used to increase the patient's blood pressure. On Sunday morning (17), the clinical condition evolved into septic shock and resulted in the patient's death.
The body was sent to the IML (Medium Legal Institute) in Ribeirão Preto and underwent an autopsy on Monday morning (18). Roberta was born in Parnaíba.
