In February 2024 three men were convicted of the murder and sentenced to 25 years in prison for aggrivated homicide.

The Fifth Sentencing Court of San Salvador convicted two men and a woman for their complicity in the murder of a trans man, committed in Soyapango.

Those convicted are: Saúl Oswaldo Martínez Elías, Rony Aldair Pérez Grande and Xiomara Liseth Marroquín Choto.

The Court imposed a sentence of 25 years in prison after finding them guilty of the crime of aggravated homicide. The crime was perpetrated between the night of August 24 and the early morning of August 25, 2018.

According to the prosecution, the defendants arrived at a bar located in the Parque Infantil area, in the center of San Salvador and put the victim, against his will, into a black four-door vehicle.

Then they took himr to a house in the Brisas del Sur neighborhood, in the municipality of Soyapango, where they strangled the victim to death.

Subsequently, they tied the body's hands and feet and wrapped it in two sheets to travel to the Santa Maria neighborhood, in the same municipality, where they abandoned it on the side of a cobblestone street.
