Marcinha Rodrigues Pereira

Marcinha was found dead behind an abandoned building in a cornfield late on the morning of Thursday 20th December.

Her body showed signs of strangulation. The police initially suspected that she may have been hanged and her body dragged from the place where she was killed in the Industrial district, just outside the city.

Matheus da Silva Oliveira, 18, confessed to strangling her and dumping her body. He also stole her cellphone and some money.
