Nazab Abid Shaikh

Nazab was murdered by Arbaz Ahmed Shaikh, 20, after they argued about his wish to end their relationship.

In a gruesome incident, a young transgender person was found murdered in her house, allegedly by her jilted lover near Mohammadwadi in the early hours of Monday.

The victim was identified as Nazab Abid Shaikh, 21, a resident of Sadashiv Nagar in Hadapsar. According to the police, they received a distress call early in the morning informing that Shaikh was found lying in a pool of blood.

Cops found the lock of Shaikh’s house on the third floor broken and her throat slit by a sharp object.

According to the police, Shaikh was having an affair with a young man from the area. Recently, he started making plans to get married to someone else. This upset Shaikh who then threatened to make their affair public. A quarrel seemed to have occurred between the duo which led to the murder, cops said.

Arbaz Ahmed Shaikh was arrested the following day.
