Tortured and beaten
Eduarda was found in a park, gagged with duct tape and with her hands tied, on the afternoon of 3rd April. Police suspect that she had been tortured and beaten to death.
A [trans woman], known as 22-year-old Eduarda Albuquerque, was found dead on Wednesday afternoon (03) in a deserted area near a waterfall in Parque Mambucaba in Angra dos Reis, on Rio's Green Coast. Her hands were tied and gagged.
Police suspect she was killed for some involvement in drug trafficking and not for gender or homophobia.
A towel or cloth was used to bind her hands. Duct tape was used to gag the victim. Police suspect she was tortured and beaten to death. Eduarda lived on Cobras Island in nearby Paraty.
Eduarda lived in the Ihla das Cobras neighborhood of the nearby town of Paraty.
