Luana was chased by two men in the São Luís neighborhood of Balsas. She took shelter in a building but they followed her and shot her 4 times.
In June 2019 the police arrested Franklin Warley Sousa Martins, 20. Two other suspects are being saught in connection with the crime.
According to the police Luana was involved in drug trafficking and was a murder suspect herself, but that doesn't excuse what happened to her.
