Gökçe Naz Saygi

Gökçe was stabbed 7 times in the back in her home. Police found her body after being called to the scene by neighbours.

Police examined CCTV footage to attempt to identify her murderer. Subsequently, Şahin Yalçın, 20, was arrested by police in the Kepez region. In September 2019 he appeared in court charged with her murder.

According to the news, the horrific event occurred at 7am on the first floor of a four-story apartment building on 129 Street in the Muratpasa Sea District. After hearing someone in the building shouting, "Stop making your God do not exist", the residents called the emergency services. Police and health teams were called to the scene.

The first hearing in the case took place in November 2019, and in June 2020 Yalçın was sentenced to life in prison.
