Alana was killed after an argument with other trans sex workers on Rua Moses Kauffman in the Barra Funda neighborhood of São Paulo.
Alana Ferreira, a 34-year-old [trans woman], was murdered at dawn on Thursday (16) in the neighborhood of Barra Funda, west of São Paulo. According to the Public Security Secretariat (SSP) of São Paulo, the victim died at 3:40 pm at Santa Casa de Misericórdia, in the center of the capital.
According to her Facebook page, Alana was living in Paris and returned to São Paulo recently. Friends and relatives of the victim said she was "brutally murdered out of envy". The version is that she would have been involved in a fight with another [trans woman], who tried to pull out her silicone prosthesis. They attacked, and Alana was stabbed.
In a statement, the SSP reported that a civilian police officer on call at the hospital became aware of the death, which was reported as a "possible hemorrhagic shock." The hospital did not provide information about the location of the rescue or the vehicle that provided relief, as well as the state of health of the victim before being rescued. As a result, the incident was registered as a "suspicious death", since the 77 Police Station officiated the health facility to provide the medical record, but did not have the request met.
