Sara Fernández ("Paloma Barreto")

Sara was found dead from multiple stab wounds in the apartment she was renting. She was a Brazilian sex worker who also went by the name "Paloma Barreto".

A 38-year-old transgender woman of Brazilian nationality has died in Avilés after receiving at least 15 stabs in the chest and back. The event occurred in a house at 62 rua La Cámara. Members of the National Police attended the scene on the seventh floor, where the victim was found.

According to sources close to the investigation, the deceased had numerous stab wounds on her body and had been dead for several days.

The location where she was found is a building where, according to research sources, [sex work] takes place. No arrests have yet been made and the National Police haves not ruled out the hypothesis that the person responsible was a client of the deceased.

On 23rd September Allison Oliveira, 24, was arrested on suspicion of her murder and remanded in custody. His trial is scheduled to begin on 1st February 2021.
