Sarita's naked body was found with 15 stab wounds in her home. Two used condoms were found next to her body.
The 40-year-old [trans woman] [deadname] Sudario da Silva, known as "Sarita", was found dead on Monday afternoon (18) at her home, located at Rua Vila Nova, Cidade de Deus neighborhood, north of Manaus. Sarita's body was lying on the floor with several knife wounds. According to expert reports, condoms were used near the body, which was stripped naked and was nearly cut off by the perpetrator.
Neighbors said the victim had lived in her home for about six years, was well-liked in the community and had no involvement with illicit activities. She was a native of Itaituba, in the interior of the state of Pará, lived alone and had no relatives in Manaus. The case is still under investigation by the Specialized Homicide and Kidnapping Police Station (DEHS).
None of the reports found stated that Sarita was trans, but this was conirmed by ANTRA Brasil.
