Dorete was beaten with a piece of wood and then stabbed. Her naked body was found in a community garden in Bairro Vila.
A [trans woman] was murdered in the early hours of Saturday (08) in the city of Agricolândia, region of the Middle Parnaíba. Her body was found naked in a community garden in Bairro Vila. The victim was identified as [deadname] Lopes Leal, popularly known as Dorete.
According to information provided by the Military Police, the criminal used a piece of wood and a knife to commit the murder. Dorete was badly beaten. The criminal would also have used a “cleaver” to commit the crime. The victim's personal belongings were not found.
