Brandy was stabbed in the neck after an argument over a cellphone charger. She died at the scene.
On the identity card of the person who was attacked by a dagger this Sunday morning [Calle 10 with Carrera 12] in the La Chinita neighborhood, the name of [deadname] Molina, 30, appears. However, in the neighborhood they knew the victim of the assault as Brandy Carolina Brown, since that's what she had called herself since she transitioned to a woman several years ago.
The attack happened after a party that lasted all night on Saturday and lasted until dawn on Sunday. Brandy Carolina and several of her friends, as reported by the Police, had been consuming alcohol, but a fight began at approximately 6:20 in the morning.
After arguing, they were beaten and later a subject, whom the authorities identified as Esneider, took out a bladed weapon and used it to caused a fatal wound to the neck of Brandy Carolina.
Those close to the victim hurriedly tried to get her to a healthcare center, but she fell dead on the pavement and they immediately called the police to report what had happened.
A suspect was arrested on 1st August.
In the last few hours, members of the Police captured Esneider González Malo, known by the alias of 'Cachetes', who the authorities have identified as the author of the murder of a trans woman.
The crime occurred on June 14 in the La Chinita neighborhood, on Calle 10 with Carrera 12. González's arrest occurred on Carrera 12 B with Calle 7 A in the same sector, amid police patrols.
The uniformed men searched him and asked for his identification. After Cachetes took a suspicious attitude, they proceeded to check his background and realized that he had a current arrest warrant for aggravated murder.
