Branca was shot dead near the BR-116 highway early on Saturday 29th August.

A 37-year-old [trans woman], identified as Branca, was shot dead at dawn on Saturday, 29, in the Pedras neighborhood of Itaitinga, Fortaleza Metropolitan Region (RMF). The victim was hit by gunfire at a location near the BR-116 highway. The Forensic Examination of the State of Ceará (Pefoce) was called to the scene and collected evidence to assist in the investigation.
