Bárbara's body was found in her home with a stab wound to the neck in the early hours of Friday 23rd October.
La Paz, Baja California Sur (BCS ). During the early morning hours of this Friday, October 23, the lifeless body of a person was located, in a home in the Cimarrón neighborhood, within the capital of Baja California Sur, the State Attorney General's Office (PGJE) reported.
The events were reported at around 1:12 am, in a house located on calle Segismundo Taraval, between calles Tuna and Urbano Ángulo. Elements of the State Criminal Investigation Agency (AEIC) and experts from the Directorate of Expert Services attended and corroborated the finding.
Unofficial sources indicated that the victim was a transsexual woman, who was known as "Barbie" and had a wound to the neck.
"The deceased was identified. She was 25 years old and was originally from this capital city," detailed the statement issued by the Attorney General's Office in Baja California Sur.
Several days after the murder her former partner was arrested. Reportedly several weeks ago he had beaten and threatened her.
