Lupita was stabbed while trying to defend her mother from her aggressive stepfather.
A young woman known by the social name “Lupita” ([deadname] Moraes da Silva), was stabbed to death while trying to defend her mother from aggression on Thursday night (07/01) in Bairro Liberdade, in the municipality of São João do Arraial, in the North of Piauí. The main suspect in the crime is her stepfather Luciano.
According to preliminary information, the suspect was arguing with Lupita's mother, who has not yet been identified, when he drew a knife and began to attack her. Lupita tried to defend her mother from aggression and was also stabbed, but she couldn't survive her injuries and died at the scene. The suspect's partner [Lupita's mother] was taken to Dr. Júlio Hartman State Hospital in Esperantina, with serious wounds from the bladed weapon. She was attended by a medical team and is at risk.
The Military Police continues to investigate.
