Àlissia was killed in her apartment after a dispute over payment. Her killer was arrested.
A [sex worker] was murdered in a residential building on Praça Ganga Zumba, in the Cruz das Almas neighborhood in Maceió. The crime happened on Friday night (19) and the suspect was arrested.
According to police information, the victim lived at the scene and was identified as the [trans woman] Àlissia Rodriguez. The suspicion is that she was asphyxiated by the client, after he refused to pay for the program.
Still according to the military, a colleague of Àlissia, also a transsexual and who shared a room with her, called the police.
The victim's colleague told police officers that the man, who was named as the perpetrator of the crime, also tried to kill her, but she managed to escape and call for help.
The suspect was arrested and sent to the Homicide Police Station. He did not carry documents and was not identified.
