Luana Menndes/Luana Pereira dos Santos

Luana was shot on the street on the night of Friday 12th March. She died in hospital.

A young [person], 26, identified as Luan Cristian Pereira dos Santos, was shot dead on Friday night (12), in Volta Redonda. Sh was cross-dressing and was known as "Luana".

According to the Military Police, the crime took place on Rua 544 in the Jardim Paraíba neighborhood. The agents said she was taken by Samu (Mobile Emergency Service) to Hospital São João Batista, but she did not survive.

The police isolated the crime scene until the forensics arrived. According to information given to PM, [Luana] was being threatened.
