Channu was murdered over a loan repayment. The killer then set the body on fire to remove the evidence from the crime scene.
A burnt dead body of 25-year-old [trans person] named Arsalan was found in Nishtar Colony of Lahore on Thursday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The transgender was found dead and her body was burnt.
Police have started an investigation into the incident whether he was burnt by himself or some other person did that.
The killer was subsequently identified and apprehended.
The mystery of murder and burning the body of a transgender person named Arsalan aka Chunnu has been solved now as the police in Lahore have caught the alleged killer Babar, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
The murder incident occurred within the limits of Nishtar Colony Police Station of Lahore. Police said that killer Babar and deceased transgender Arsalan became friends during the coronavirus lockdown.
Police said accused Babar murdered the transgender [person] over an issue of loan payment worth Rs16,000 and later set the body on fire in a bid to remove the evidence from the crime scene.
“Both had an argument on the day of the crime. Accused Babar first tortured the [trans person] then grabbed [their] neck until the very life was squeezed out of [them]” the police said.
