Michel's body was found inside a residence in a cowering position and with signs of violence on Sunday 13th June.
Forensic investigators determined that she had died several days earlier. Subsequently her partner was arrested and confessed to killing her.
The body of a trans person was found inside a house located in the El Mirador subdivision in the municipality of El Salto.
The events occurred on calles Ocaso and Asteroide. Elements of the police arrived at the scene and cordoned off the area, requesting the presence of municipal medical services. After examining the body, they said that [the victim] was a trans person and said that they had died several days earlier.
The authorities also said that traces of violence were found and that she was cowering.
Personnel from the Jalisco Institute of Forensic Sciences transferred the body to the metropolitan morgue to perform an autopsy under the law.
In February 2024 José Adrián M. was sentenced to 32 years in prison for her murder.
GUADALAJARA, Jal. (apro).- José Adrián M. has been sentenced to 32 years in prison for the death of his romantic partner, a trans woman.
According to the investigation carried out by the prosecution, on the night of June 11, 2021, the couple was at their marital home located in the El Mirador subdivision, municipality of El Salto, Jalisco, drinking alcohol, when they began to argue.
Things escalated to the point that José Adrián M. began to hit his partner, then suffocated her to death.
When he realized what he had done, he covered her with some cloth, tied her with a ribbon and abandoned the body in the room. He later fled.
