Hevelyn's body was found with gunshot wounds in undergrowth alongside the GO-174 highway.

Goiânia – A [trans woman] was found dead in Rio Verde, southwest of Goiás, this Saturday (4/9). The body of 30-year-old Hevelyn Montine had three gunshot wounds and was lying in undergrowth on the side of the GO-174 highway clad only in her underwear.

According to G1 Goiás, the victim was dressed in a lingerie top and high-heeled sandals. Hevelyn was not carrying documents and was identified by fingerprint by the Institute of Identification of the Civild Police and Goiás. The Scientific Police carried out an investigation at the place where the body was found. The Civil Police of Goiás is investigating the case and trying to find the person responsible for the murder.

Friends of Hevelyn, who was born in Santa Helena de Goiás, paid tribute on social networks and asked for justice and punishment for those responsible for the crime.

One of her friends wrote “God's Justice does not fail. Rest in peace”.
