A transgender woman was killed Sunday night in the municipality of Segovia, northeast of Antioquia.
The 28-year-old, identified as Estrella, was at her home when men arrived and shot her several times.
After hearing this case, the Trans Community Network regretted the fact, again demanding guarantees for the LGBTI community in the country.
“The murders of trans women do not stop in Colombia. Nine days ago we were burying Antonella Alexandra in Arauca and yesterday Estrella was murdered in the municipality of Segovia. Several men came to her house and murdered her. It seems that our lives are not worth it, "they said on their Twitter account.
The crime occurred in the Galán neighborhood, an urban area of Segovia, according to the Antioquia Police report.
A suspect was subsequently arrested.
A subject named with the alias of 'Walter' was sent to jail after being accused of the murder of 'Estrella', a well-known inhabitant of Segovia, Antioquia.
The events he is accused of occurred on November 28 of this year in the Galán neighborhood of the lower part of the Antioquia municipality, where the 28-year-old victim was attacked with a firearm. Apparently, alias 'Walter', who is also accused of being a presumed leader of the 'Clan del Golfo', would have accused 'Estrella' of stealing his cell phone and for that he attacked her.
The suspect was captured and presented before a judge for the crime of aggravated homicide and although he did not accept the charges, he was sent to prison.
