Andrea's body was found with stab wounds in a beauty salon.
During the last few hours the LGBT community denounced the murder of the trans activist known as La Leona, whose lifeless body was found in the facilities of a hairdresser.
The violent events took place in an aesthetic services establishment located in the Colombian municipality of Bucaramanga, when unidentified assailants attacked the woman with a knife in the neck, an attack that ended the life of the victim.
The event has shaken the community, as one more is added to their losses in the course of 2022, before which they demand justice so that the authorities find those responsible for such a heinous crime while complaining to the Government about the lack of guarantees to protect the lives of trans people.
“Trans women survive daily in the midst of indifference, hatred and oblivion. Today La Leona was murdered in the Center of Bucaramanga . They are in serious danger, we demand justice and actions to protect them and in turn meet demands that continue to be ignored, ”activist Olga Materón said through her twitter account.
On 1st April 2022 Emil Alfonso Martínez Jiménez was charged with aggrivated femicide and remanded in custody.
