Katherine's body was found near a nightclub. Although the medical examiner claimed that she died from a heart attack her body had sustained a blow to the back of the head.

During the morning of Saturday, July 8, 2023, a [member of the LGBT+ community] was found dead near a nightclub on the Pan-American highway in Estelí. Apparently, another individual took her life. The authorities received a phone call alerting about the murder of a woman, and the clothes she was wearing indicated that she was female.
"When I arrived at the scene at 7 in the morning and was informed of the death, I approached and confirmed the situation. I immediately called the national police. We do not know how this happened, since I did not see anyone attack her or run away. It is possible that someone hit him during the night, as this area is dangerous due to the presence of people under the influence of alcohol or drugs. It is unfortunate to witness these situations"; stated witness Frankin González.
The lifeless body was found on the sidewalk of a nightclub next to the Pan-American Highway. After the investigations carried out by the officers, it was determined that she was a [member of the LGBT+ community].
The victim was identified as [deadname] Almanzar Jarquin, known as Julia. According to the medical examiner, she showed no signs of violence, but the police will continue to investigate the case.
