Julia was found gagged in her home. She had been stabbed to death, allegedly by two men.

The nursing technician, Julia Nicolly Moreira da Silva, 34, was buried this Thursday (27) after being found dead at her home in Belford Roxo, in the Baixada Fluminense of Rio de Janeiro, last Tuesday (25). The woman, who worked for the Social Organization (OS) Ideias and worked at the Getúlio Vargas Filho Hospital, in Niterói, and at the Women's Hospital in São João de Meriti, was gagged and stabbed to death.

According to family members, the nursing technician was hit by two men with several stab wounds. The case is being investigated by the Ciil Police.

Julia had been the target of violent attacks before. In 2021, a man stabbed her. At the time, he was arrested red-handed and convicted of attempted feminicide.

On Tuesday 29th August 2023 Kauã Vinícius Ferreira da Silva, 19 - one of two suspects in Julia's murder - was arrested.
