Rani died by suicide.
Rani Baker, a writer and video game dev, has passed away.
Baker came to prominence writing for comedy websites Cracked, the Modern Rogue and Bunny Ears.
She was also a video game developer who specialised in hacking NES games.

After many years admiring her work, when WTT got noticed she was one of the first people who followed us that made me go "fuck me, that is cool".
We talked infrequently over the years. She was always nice and very, very funny.

Gone too soon, but everyone was so lucky to have her whilst she was here.
I didn't know Rani Baker very well but I'm shocked that she's gone so suddenly.
Please check out, and archive, her work. She was damn funny and razor sharp and diverse, from music to romhacking. She'll be deeply missed.
