Melani's body was found inside an apartment on Saturday 11th November. A post-mortem examination revealed that she died from a blow to the head.
A transsexual person is killed inside a neighborhood in the Historic Center of Puebla, this Saturday the authorities located the putrefied body. However, they did not provide information on the cause of death or the injuries on the body. The discovery was made in a property located on calle 10 Oriente between 4 and 6 North of the capital of Puebla at around noon this Saturday.
Neighbors of the property called the emergency number 911 to report a foul smell coming from an apartment in a neighborhood. Municipal police and paramedics arrived when they revealed that they had smelled this for two days. Municipal Civil Protection (PC) medical emergency technicians entered the property and confirmed that there was a lifeless person in an advanced state of decomposition.
Although the motive for the murder of the trans woman who was found dead inside her apartment in the city center last Saturday has not yet been determined, investigations will be carried out from a gender perspective.
The victim has been identified as “Melani” and apparently had no family. As a result the community will be responsible for receiving her body in the coming days to give it proper burial, trusting that the State Attorney General's Office will agree to hand it over.
