On the morning of this Monday, May 20, 2024, the body of a transvestite was found on the edge of a forest located in the Barcelona residential complex, on the banks of RO-135, in front of UNIJIPA.
The discovery mobilized teams from the Military Police, Civil Police and the Technical-Scientific Police (POLITEC), who were called to the location to carry out surveys.
The body, initially identified as that of a male person, “a travesti”, was found by workers who were clearing the area and smelled the bad smell.
There is still no information about the identity of the victim; Due to the circumstances of the death, it was apparently a homicide carried out by stabbing, and then the body was carried about 30 meters and thrown into a forest.
The body has tattoos of stars on the leg, among others that are difficult to identify, as it is in a state of decomposition.
A [trans woman] reportedly reported the disappearance of a friend she works with on the 11th of this month. The case will continue to be investigated by the Ji-Paraná Homicide Police Station.
