Jullyane was stabbed to death by her boyfriend during an argument. After killing her he dismembered her body in an attempt to dispose of it.
A 16-year-old teenager was arrested after admitting to having killed and dismembered his girlfriend Jullyane Fernandes, a 20-year-old transgender woman, on the night of last Thursday (29), in Bagé. The Specialized Police Station for Women's Assistance in the city is investigating a femicide discovered this Friday (30), in a residence in the Tiaraju neighborhood.
According to the police, the teenager was arrested at a relative's house and admitted to having killed his wife. The suspect allegedly dismembered her using an axe and kitchen knives. Preliminary investigations indicate that the crime occurred due to a disagreement motivated by jealousy.
The victim's body was found in two parts of the neighborhood, one part in the courtyard of a residence and the other part in a suitcase found on the side of Avenida General Malet.
Police are seeking to confirm the identity of the victim, who reportedly introduced herself to the man by her social name. The woman reportedly resides in Dom Pedrito.
The teenager was sent for procedures at the Bagé Police Station and will remain at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor's Office and the Judiciary.
