Phoenix Cassetta

Phoenix died by suicide. She was the vice-president of Common Ground, a club which provides a safe space for LGBTQIA+ people and allies at Saint Michael's College.

Today the smc community was deeply saddened to learn about the passing of our CG vice president, Phoenix Cassetta. our thoughts and prayers are with Phoenix’s loved ones during this time.

Vie Mazur from Bergeron will be in the CWG (Alliot 206) tonight at 6pm for a space to grieve, and a service will be held in the chapel at 7pm tonight. directly afterward, space will be held in Cashman, where Phoenix was an RA. at 6pm on tuesday, wednesday and thursday, there will be gatherings in Cashman for support, reflection, and expression of condolences to the family, as well as sharing stories to honor Phoenix’s life. Phoenix was an amazing member of our community and they will be deeply missed.
