Laisa died after being stabbed multiple times early on the morning of Sunday 27th October. The identity of her killer(s) and motive for the attack are not known.
A person, apparently transgender, was killed with multiple stab wounds early Sunday morning in the Fecosa neighborhood in El Carmen de Cartago.
The judicial authorities received the alert at 1 am, however the Red Cross received the warning from 12:30 am
A 56-year-old [woman] with the surname Camacho was killed with multiple stab wounds. She was apparently a transgender [woman] known as Laisa. The attack occurred in the early hours of Sunday, October 27, 2024 in the Fecosa neighborhood in El Carmen de Cartago.
When rescuers arrived, they found the victim with cuts to her abdomen and legs and declared her dead at the scene. Authorities identified the victim as Camacho, 56 years old.
Locals said that the person was transgender and affectionately known as Laisa, but this version has not been confirmed by the courts.
The causes of this savage attack are not clear, and no one is currently responsible.
