The victim died by suicide two days after the 2024 US presidential election. Reportedly she was fearful of what the Trump presidency would mean for trans people.
My cousin committed suicide two days after Trump was elected. Her family loved her and accepted her trans identity. She had a wife and a dog. Still, she feared whatever Trump had in store would be unsurvivable.
