Wendolyn was shot.
A member of the LGBTQIA+ community was killed in a shooting that occurred just after 2:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 7, 2024, in Sitio Chicago, Barangay Duljo Fatima, Cebu City.
The victim, identified as Wendolyn, 32 years old, a resident of the area, sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the head and other parts of the body.
According to the Mambaling Police Station, they received a report of a shooting in the area to which they quickly responded.
When police arrived, the victim was already covered in his own blood with multiple gunshot wounds to the head and body.
The police have launched a hot pursuit operation against the main suspect, identified only by the name “Alyas Jason,” along with two other people believed to be involved in the crime. Authorities are still investigating the motive for the shooting.
The local LGBTQIA+ community is in mourning after the tragic loss, as many have expressed outrage at the senseless act of violence.
