Eliarlan dos Santos

Eliarlan was shot by armed assailants who invaded her home.

In the early hours of this Saturday (4), the city of Santana do Acaraú, in the interior of Ceará, a homicide was registered in the city. Eliarlan dos Santos, a 48 year-old trans woman and a native of Tianguá, was shot dead inside her own residence, located near the BPRaio base in the so-called “Baixa”.

According to preliminary information, armed individuals broke into the victim's home and fired several shots, then fled. The motive for the crime remains unclear.

Military Police teams were on site to conduct initial investigations. Eliarlan's body was sent to the Forensic Medical Institute (IML) for standard procedures.
