Kendra's body was found in sugarcane fields two weeks after being deported from the USA. The cause of her death was not reported.
The body of a transgender person was found lifeless in the sugarcane fields of San Manuel, Cortés.
The victim was identified as [deadname] Oliva, known by her [social name] as Kendra, 28 years old. She had been deported from the United States two weeks ago.
In addition to her National Identity Document (DNI) that allowed her to be recognized, the authorities reported a tattoo she had on her ribs.
Her relatives reported her disappearance on social media and asked for help in finding her whereabouts.
Her sister, Elizabeth Oliva, explained that Kendra was in a shelter in Tijuana, then entered the United States and moved from South Carolina to California.
“During that time she maintained constant contact with her family,” she said.
