Thayla's body was found in a field. Her hands were tied and she had been stabbed and decapitated in a particularly brutal execution.

In Sapezal, 473 km from Cuiabá, Thayla da Costa Vieira, a 25-year-old transgender woman, was found dead with signs of violence in a field near the municipal stadium this Friday (31).

The victim was found dead with injuries that point to extreme cruelty, with stab wounds, hands tied and a decapitated head next to the body.

Thayla had previously been detained on suspicion of drug trafficking, according to delegate Hugo Montenegro.

The Civil Police are investigating the case and there are still no suspects or known motive for the crime.

Politec (Official Expertise and Technical Identification) was on site and the body was released to the local funeral home.
