Ryan died by suicide.
Ryan passed away on February 18, 2025. Ryan will be remembered by his parents Becky and Rob, grandmother Marie, grandfather Hank (deceased), aunts, uncles, cousins, Baby Baba, friends and everyone who knew him.
Ryan had an offbeat sense of humor who enjoyed sharing laughter with his friends and family. He had the strength and courage to bravely live his truth as a trans person. Ryan was an outspoken advocate for LGBTQ+ and women's rights.
Ryan enjoyed being a member of the ROHS Cross Country and Track teams and was always supportive of his teammates. He was also a proud member of the RATS, working on the technical crew for theatrical productions and concerts. Outside of school, Ryan was a member of Stagecrafters Youth Theater, working in the lighting department. He also volunteered at the Royal Oak Public Library and the Detroit Zoo summer camp.
Ryan's light will continue to shine every time someone remembers kindness he showed or laughs when they recall something he said or did. He was loved by many. The memory of him will live on.
A Celebration of Ryan's life will on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at the Sawyer-Fuller Funeral Home, 2125 12 Mile Road, Berkley. Friends and Community are welcome to gather from 10:00 AM until the start of the memorial service at 11:00 AM. The family would like to ask that all those attending wear pink or other bright colors.
