Sheik was killed in her home.
A trans woman was shot several times in her home in the La Colombianita invasion sector, in the rural area of the municipality of Caucasia, in the lower Cauca region of Antioquia.
The victim, Sheik Oliveros Quintana, 30 years old and a member of the LGTBIQ+ community, was found with multiple injuries.
The discovery came after a call alerted authorities about a lifeless body inside a residence. Upon arriving at the scene, police found Quintana's body in a room. According to witnesses, a man forced open the door of the house, shot the victim and fled in an unknown direction.
Authorities cordoned off the site and collected information from the community. The technical inspection of the body was carried out by the CTI of Caucasia.
This tragic event has caused a stir in the local community, which hopes that the authorities will be able to clarify the facts and find the person responsible.
