Marcela was a makeup artist who lived on the street. Her body was found wrapped in a tarpaulin on the pavement next to a school.

Last Friday (04) the body of a trans woman was found wrapped in a tarpaulin on the sidewalk of a state school in the Jatiúca neighborhood, in Maceió-AL. The victim was identified as Marcela Valentina, 20 years old. Marcela lived in the Salgado neighborhood, in Caruaru, and worked as a makeup artist.

Marcela's body was found in an area where garbage is usually dumped. According to witnesses, close to where she was found, Marcela was with a man the night before the crime, in the same place where she was found.

On Monday (7), the Scientific Police of Alagoas confirmed that the woman died as a result of a traumatic brain injury (TBI). The expert report indicates that she was raped with a blunt instrument, which was confirmed by the IML. The young woman had bruises on her face and punctures in her head from an unidentified object. Personal objects such as a purse and cell phone were found next to the victim's body, but there were no documents. Even though it was broken, the cell phone was collected and will be examined by experts. There was a receipt indicating that she had lunch two days earlier at a restaurant inside a shopping mall.

Marcela's body was released by her mother this Sunday (6), after the completion of the autopsy examination, which will be sent to the Homicide and Personal Protection Division (DHPP) of the Civil Police, which continues investigating to identify the person responsible for the crime.

A suspect was arrested on 16th July 2025.
