Vivia died after being attacked by armed assailants on a motorcycle.
A homicide was registered in the early hours of this Sunday (29), around 5:30 am, in Itapajé. The victim, identified as [deadname] Nascimento Pinto, 31, used the social name Vivia Paiva and was affectionately known as Chica G. She was shot to death near a commercial establishment near the bus terminal, in the Piçarra neighborhood.
According to information from the Military Police, two men on a motorcycle fired shots at Vivia and fled the scene unidentified. The victim was rescued by locals and taken to the Municipal Hospital, but was already dead when she arrived. In addition to the gunshot wounds, marks of assault with a sharp object were also found.
Family and friends took to social media to mourn the death of the young woman, who was well-loved in the city for her cheerfulness and charisma. The Civil Police will investigate the case. The perpetrator and motive are still unknown.
