Rebeca and her cisgender friend Bruna both died in hospital after being tied up and beaten.
Three municipal employees were subsequently arrested in connection with their murders.
A transgender woman and a friend were found tied up and showing signs of aggression in a wooded area in São Lourenço da Mata, in the Greater Recife area of Pernambuco. This information is from Metropoles.
The victims were located on Friday (12) and taken to the Emergency Care Unit (UPA) in the region, but did not survive their injuries.
Both had several bruises and signs of violence.
The Pernambuco Civil Police are investigating the case as a double homicide. Officers are working to identify those responsible and clarify the motive for the crime.
