Christine was a therapist and college graduate. Her body was found inside a rented apartment after neighours reported hearing an argument inside.
She had last been seen alive at the previous evening when she bought coffee at a nearby store. Two men have been arrested.
Two people responsible for the murder of a transgender woman in Valenzuela City have been arrested.
The investigation into the death of the victim [deadname] Macalalay Jr., also known as “Christine”, a 44-year-old transgender woman and therapist, resulted in the arrest of two male suspects in a hot-pursuit operation launched by the Valenzuela City Police.
The lifeless victim was found at 11:20 pm on September 22, 2025 inside her rented apartment in Barangay Malanday, Valenzuela City after being last seen alive at 10:20 pm on September 21, when she was buying coffee at a store.
According to neighbors, they heard noise and an argument in the victim's unit.
Upon the directive of PCOL Joseph Talento, Acting Chief of Police of the Valenzuela City Police Station, a follow-up operation was conducted that resulted in the arrest of the suspects through backtracking on CCTV footage and tracing the suspects.
