Faye died by suicide.
I am emailing you to report we have lost a sister in Utah. Her name was Faye Cannon and she lived in American Fork, and was well loved by the trans community here. She was 23 when she died by suicide on September 28, 2025. She wanted to be a librarian, she loved fighting games and Warhammer, and was a prolific writer. She struggled with her mental health for years and hopefully she is no longer hurting.

Faye was born in Vermont but her family had moved to Utah when she was 10. When she passed away she had jut began publishing some of her writing online and was working as an aide in Salt Lake City Library.
While Faye chose to keep much of her writings private, she recently began publishing some of her writing online. She was profoundly moved when she would hear from readers about the impact her writing had on them. Her love for reading and writing led her to a position at the Salt Lake City Library as a library aide.
Faye will be remembered for her empathy, her kindness and compassion, and her creative spirit that touched everyone she met. She gave the best hugs. Though her time was far too short, she leaves behind a lasting legacy in the hearts of her family, her friends, and all who have been moved through her writing.
