The victim was shot dead in the street. They were homeless and have not yet been identified.
Two homicides in a short space of time marked the early hours of this Tuesday (21) in Cariacica. A [trans person] and a man were shot dead in neighboring neighborhoods, with a difference of approximately half an hour between the cases.
The first crime occurred on Rua Bom Pastor in Campina Grande. A homeless [trans person] was found dead with gunshot wounds to the head. Military Police located 9mm ammunition casings at the scene. The victim was not carrying any identification and has not yet been identified.
About 30 minutes later, approximately 950 meters away, Lucas José Ribeiro, 32, was executed on Amaro Pereira da Silva Street in the Santa Bárbara neighborhood. Police said the perpetrator of the crime is unknown, but the area is known for its intense drug trafficking activity.
The Specialized Homicide and Personal Protection Division (DHPP) of Cariacica is investigating both cases. So far, there is no confirmation that the murders are connected, and no suspects have been arrested.
