Emily was one of two people murdered by armed assailants. The other victim was a cisgender man named Ronaldo Marques.
One of the victims of the double homicide registered this Saturday afternoon (25) in a resort in the municipality of Groaíras was identified as Emily Sofia, a trans woman. The second victim, a man, has not yet had his identity confirmed by the authorities.
According to preliminary information, armed individuals invaded the location and fired several shots at the victims, who died at the scene.
The motive for the crime is still unknown, and the Civil Police are continuing to investigate the case to identify the perpetrators and clarify the circumstances of the double homicide.
